Antony has recently completed his mammoth Requiem for the Time of the End, divided into four cantatas, some of which is now being orchestrated further. Most movements were commissioned and many already performed by outstanding ensembles, but there are still opportunities to support retroactively the composition of a few movements (please ask for more details), and to have your support acknowledged on the score.
Antony is also continuing to develop a multilayered music theatre project with Adrian Self, called The Process (after Franz Kafka), each of which can be presented separately or together, e.g. at a festival. The main narrative layer, which takes place on stage, is called Mortification. There is a choral layer for many voices, called Murmuration, based on the communal movement of starlings. And there is a radiophonic layer of audio called Reverberation. Opportunities exist to commit to the commissioning of different elements in each layer, or generally to the whole project.
Antony is now embarking on a major multiyear project setting all four of the Passion accounts – A Passion Foretold. This consists of separate settings of each of the Passion accounts – Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John – which can be performed simultaneously. The plan is to première each of the separate Passions in different corners of the globe – Africa, the Americas, Asia/Oceania, Europe – and the complete Passion in Jerusalem. Antony is also developing his "murmuration" technique for a series of a cappella and mixed instrumental and vocal forces. The most recent emanation of this technique can be heard in Re-New, which was premièred in May 2025 in central Sydney.
